Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter was an American actress who became famous in the film Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. She won several awards like an Oscar for the movie Piano. She started her career acting as an actress both on Broadway as well as Off Broadway. It has always been her love of life. In the fifth grade she played Helen Keller in an original play. The actress was deaf in one ear following a bout of the mumps virus, however she did not allow this handicap to hinder the determination of her to become an actress. When she was in college studying drama, she moved into New York City with her goals with her sights set. She met Beth Henley in an elevator and the pair collaborated on Broadway Crimes of the Heart the first movie Hunter made. As she settled in Los Angeles, she began to search for film roles. She landed one as an actress supporting the main character in Swing Shift. In the three decades since her time in Los Angeles Holly Hunter has been involved in numerous TV shows and movies. Holly Hunter won a star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame, as well as an award called the Women in Film Lucy Award.
