Holly Hunter, an American actress and film producer is renowned for her performances in movies like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. The movie Piano earned her numerous awards including an Oscar. In her early years her acclaimed actress started playing on stage for various Broadway or Off Broadway productions. Since her childhood, she performed Helen Keller in a play in fifth grade. Mumps led her to lose hearing in one of her ear, however this didn't stop the actress from fulfilling her dream. When she was a teenager, Hunter studied drama and eventually moved to New York City. In a chance encounter she was trapped in an elevator along with the playwright Beth Henley and the two worked together on the play 'The Broadway Crimes of the Heart and made Hunter's debut. Her first role in film came following her move from Los Angeles. Since she was a part of the film, Holly Hunter has been in many films, TV shows and movies. Holly Hunter won a star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and also an award called the Women in Film Lucy Award.
